Voices of Hope

I would like to congratulate the Chairman of the Malaysian People's Wellbeing Association (PKRM) and all its members on their efforts in organizing the "Malaysian People's Wheelchair Assistance Program (BKRRM)". Through this program, I hope these wheelchairs will make life easier for persons with disabilities, especially those living in rural areas. This assistance is expected to help them manage their daily lives. The struggle of more than two decades serves as an example for us to build a Madani society that is compassionate, caring, and feels the hardship of the poor. "Malaysia Madani" emphasizes the guarantee that no community will be marginalized. I also call upon all parties including the private sector to help contribute to the community under corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs for distribution nationwide. We must give encouragement and support to the people of Malaysia.

I would like to thank and congratulate the Malaysian People's Welfare Association (PKRM) and all its staff for providing wheelchair assistance to individuals with disabilities and those in dire need. I also always appreciate the contributions of PKRM which helps applicants for wheelchair contributions regardless of race, religion and background with the cooperation of JKM.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and congratulations to the Malaysian People's Wellbeing Association (PKRM) and its entire team for their noble initiative in implementing an intervention program on online safety and mental health among teenagers in Malaysia. The Ministry of Health Malaysia strongly supports this noble effort together with the organizers. Once again, I congratulate PKRM for their dedication and commitment in organizing this program for the wellbeing of Malaysians. May this effort continue to have a positive impact on our society.

I was informed that PKRM will publish a Special Bulletin in the form of an HIV/AIDS manual as a very useful knowledge platform for all Malaysians. Hopefully it can be used as a reference and guide for leaders of all religious and racial backgrounds in dealing with HIV/AIDS. It is my high hope that this publication will also change views, stigma and discrimination against marginalized groups who thirst for spiritual guidance and welfare assistance.

The publication of this Bulletin will certainly be one of the effective channels in conveying news about criminal activities that often occur and the successes of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in combating crime as well as sharing crime prevention tips that serve as reference and guidance for the community.

Highest appreciation and congratulations to the committee of the Malaysian People's Wellbeing Association (PKRM) and all parties involved in the success of this campaign and bulletin publication. Clearly, the production of an informative bulletin with the sharing of news about current criminal activities and prevention tips of this nature is believed to be able to further enhance public understanding and responsibility to jointly create a zero-crime environment in the country.

I believe this Bulletin will be a platform to help strengthen the bonds of friendship among Malaysians. It is hoped that this Bulletin will be given full support by the corporate sector and any related parties in making this publication a success.

I am confident this Bulletin can be a useful source of information to know about developments regarding police affairs, especially related to efforts and successes in combating and dealing with crime.

Congratulations to PKRM for continuing to engage in community development activities that are much needed in nation-building efforts. PKRM has also increased their attention to issues related to community mental well-being, particularly plans to build mental resilience among youth. This is a very challenging time for us in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, but there is hope for Malaysia if others can also emulate PKRM's efforts. As our Prime Minister said, "after the rain, the sun will surely shine".

I hope the initiative taken by PKRM will be taken up by the private sector through their Corporate Social Responsibility programs, whether directly or through cooperation with NGOs such as PKRM.

Such programs are very welcome as they complement the Government's efforts to help the disabled and underprivileged including civil servants.

I support this program's efforts which can open up opportunities for the people to obtain such assistance and provide opportunities for individuals or patients to live their daily lives without limitations.

The collaboration of programs and bulletin publications on crime prevention awareness campaigns with PDRM and RELA can be continued for the well-being of society in dealing with crime and reducing "fear of crime" among the people.

PKRM will help the government become the eyes and ears to convey information and suggestions from the people to ensure the welfare of the people and country is always fully guaranteed.

PKRM is a platform for the Government in completing the tasks of community welfare affairs and ensuring the well-being of the people of Malaysia.

PKRM is always committed to safeguarding the welfare and well-being of Malaysian Families by establishing strategic cooperation between the corporate sector, GLCs, GLICs, Government Agencies or any capable individuals.

May the presence of PKRM complement the government's efforts to help the disabled, underprivileged, serving civil servants, Government pensioners and members of the security forces.

PKRM's noble intention in disseminating information about AIDS/HIV is highly commendable. Programs like this will be able to open minds and attract the attention of the people towards understanding the causes and consequences of HIV/AIDS. In line with efforts to foster and strengthen unity among all people, this department is very pleased to work together to realize it with all available energy and capability.

I congratulate and applaud the good efforts carried out by PKRM in helping and committing to safeguard the welfare of the people regardless of race, religion, ethnicity and gender. PKRM's actions based on the vision of YAB Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin have been proven with the existence of PKRM and I hope PKRM can expand this service domestically and internationally and become a successful association.

I am very excited and very much looking forward to such programs being held for the general community in particular. With assistance from PKRM in providing guidance and advice to Malaysians, this helps citizens take the initiative to combat crime effectively. In conclusion, on behalf of all MCPF members, I express my highest appreciation and best wishes to the Malaysian People's Wellbeing Association (PKRM) in successfully organizing the "Crime Prevention Awareness Campaign with PDRM and RELA".

The Royal Malaysia Police greatly appreciates and fully supports all the noble efforts of the Malaysian People's Wellbeing Association (PKRM) in fostering community awareness of crime prevention through various approaches such as discussion sessions, talks and the distribution of books and leaflets.
